Today, I discovered the watercolors of Sinclair Stratton, who specializes in absolutely gorgeous paintings of animals and pets. Her choice of vibrant colors creates fantastic pieces. She does commissions for pet portriats as well. Her work is visually stunning, and unlike anything I’ve seen. the art of elize nazelie—plus a giveaway!
A few weeks ago I posted an adorable Tom Kitten tattoo designed by Elize Nazelie. Elize is not only a fantastic tattoo artist, but she’s also a painter. You can find her wonderful watercolor originals and prints in her Etsy store. My favorites, of course, are her cat paintings.

etsy spotlight: dog pop art
You might be thinking, “Wait a second… Dog Pop Art?” But before you run off disappointed or wondering if I’ve gone crazy, you’ll be glad to hear that artist Angela Bond, owner of Dog Pop Art, paints cats as well as dogs. I’m sure most of you have seen those “Keep Calm and Carry On” posters that are so very popular. I don’t care for them myself, but I’ve seen a lot of parodies that are pretty good. And there are also some kitty-themed ones out there!

etsy spotlight: collage-o-rama
I love oddball cat-related things, and I’m a big advocate of recycling and upcycling, so of course I really enjoy these fun prints from Collage-O-Rama. What they do is take pages from old dictionaries about to be destroyed and upcycle them in order to create unique, rather odd pieces of art that are environmentally-friendly. How cool! They also have a sister store called Note Art that does prints on sheet music.
All of the prints are just $6.99, and if you buy three prints, you’ll get a fourth one free!
