meet Buddy from yeahbuddybooboo.tumblr.com!

Buddy is a beautiful orange Persian who I just recently found on Tumblr. His blog is relatively new, so there are not many pictures yet, but OMG–the pictures that he does have are too cute to resist!! Take a peek, and follow Buddy on Tumblr! I can’t get enough!

cat olympics by nicholas longtin

I haven’t talked too much about it, but I’ve been in training for my first ever full triathlon which takes places this coming Saturday! Cats (as well all know too well) are particularly athletic animals, running and jumping and pouncing, and Web Designer Nicholas Longtin thought they would be great at the Olympics. For a little added hilarity, he edited cat faces onto Olympic Athletes (making them… Cathletes?)! They are pretty amusing. Here are a few of my favorites:

Cat Olympics - Cycling

Cat- Olympics - Archery

Cat Olympics - Womans Handball

Cat Olympics - Tennis

Cat Olympics - Badminton

Cat Olympics - Weight Lifting

Cat Olympics - Boxing

Cat Olympics - Judo

Cat- Olympics - Dressage

Cat Olympics Gymnastics

Cat Olympics - Canoeing

Cat Olympics - Basketball Dunk

Cat Olympics Basketball Jump

Cat Olympics Osscar Pistorius

Cat Olympics - Sad Medal

Man, this really makes me wish there was a Cat Olympics… hahaha! What event would your kitty take the Gold in?

meet the kitties of guremike.jp!

Sometimes while wandering Tumblr, you can stumble upon some great cat blogs. I recently wandered onto Guremike.jp, a Japanese blog featuring photos of two totally adorable cats, a brother and sister. According to google’s translation of their “About” page, these lovelies do not yet have names as they are very recent adoptions! I just had to share some of my favorite photos!

black cat auditions in 1960′s Hollywood!

This photoset has been making the rounds for awhile, but my pal Amanda linked me to them the other day and it was my first time seeing them. As a black cat owner and lover, I had to share them! For a role in a horror film, you can’t just pick a random cat and hope for the best–you have to pick the one that stands out best in the black cat auditions!

Lining up to audition… hoping your kitty stands out!

The luckiest kitties got to meet master of horror, Vincent Price!!

This kitty can certainly take direction!

monday madhouse: clementine edition

So, Monday Madhouse isn’t a regular feature for us, but as Clementine has stirred up some trouble in the Hellcat household this morning, it felt like the only appropriate title.

I went outside this morning and heard some meowing. Guess who decided to scale a tree beside our house and climb up on the roof?

That would be little Clementine, who was just SO PROUD of herself and happy to show me that she can now get up and down on the roof no problem. At first, I thought she didn’t realize she could get back down, but she quickly found her tree access point and easily hopped into it–totally fearless.

She came down to greet me incredibly excited about her newfound hideout. Clementine loves to scale and climb things, and has never had an issue getting back down, perhaps because she’s conscious of how small she is. REGARDLESS, BAD CLEMMIE!
