maneki neko monday: maneki neko mobile
What’s this—a maneki neko mobile?! Craziness!
Although I find decorated cars to be rather silly, I think this is one I wouldn’t mind riding around in!
maneki neko monday: maneki street art
This is awesome! Just wish that stupid box wasn’t there! Maybe one day I can have a nice stucco house and paint a giant maneki neko mural on the side. Haha, I wish!
cat tat tuesday: maneki neko tattoo
I already have a maneki neko tattoo, and while I do like it and am proud of the fact that it’s my own design, I do sometimes wish I’d gotten a more traditional one like this awesome tattoo.

maneki neko monday: lucky pixel cats
I am currently participating in the 30 Days of Creativity, and for Day 4 I attempted my first pixel art. Of course, it had to be a cat, and as I worked on it it progressed into a maneki neko. It’s certainly no masterpiece, but I think it’s pretty decent for my first pixel art creation.
Here are some other pixel art maneki neko that I found on DeviantArt. Which one is your favorite?
maneki neko monday
This artwork by Filipino artist May Ann Licudine a.k.a. “Mall” is simply amazing. There is so much going on, and the details are fantastic. While not in the traditional maneki neko pose, the cat dons the traditional collar and bell and is also holding a gold coin. I just love how happy he looks, and I love all of the Japanese elements, especially the daruma dolls and pandas.
I was happy to find this wonderful piece of art in my search for a maneki neko to post, because all of Mall’s art is really quite lovely. You can find more of her work on her blog, DeviantArt, and Flickr. She also has a store where you can buy her original artwork as well as prints.
