kudzu & juniper groom each other
I love when I catch Juniper and Kudzu loving on each other.
But for some reason, grooming always inevitably leads to fighting.
Do your cats do this? I don’t know if one grooms the other a bit too aggressively, or if they need to maintain who’s the boss even when loving on each other. Palpatine and Persy do it, too.
a night of wine & felines
Last night Hellcat came over for a wine night. We probably spent most of the night talking about and playing with cats. Total cat ladies, yes we are.
I decided to wear my cone cat shirt from Pattern & Paw. It seemed appropriate.
I love how Persy is totally photobombing this picture.
Hellcat enjoyed playing with my cats.

I tried to get a picture with all of the kitties, but Palpy was being a butthead and wouldn’t get near us. I’m guessing he smelled Hellcat’s kitties on her.
Okay, enough with the camwhoring.
cats enjoy the nice weather
The weather yesterday was pretty nice, so we opened up the windows. The cats seemed pretty happy about that.
They all watched as we did yard work. I think they wanted to come out and help. Or just explore and run around, more likely. Kudzu was pretty vocal about it. Even Persy meowed a few times, which is unusual of her.
After we came back in, we threw off our shoes and the cats immediately went nuts over them. I don’t know what it is about grass and foot stink, but the cats really seem to love it.
take your place at the dinner table
Whoever says that cats don’t love their owners knows nothing about cats. Why else would my cats sit around the dining table with me, each in their own chair, for several hours as I work? They could just as easily go hang out somewhere else.
cats play with & promptly break their new toy
I bought the cats a new dangly thing-on-a-string toy. Within five minutes, they broke it.
ikea cats
We moved our smaller Expedit into the bedroom nook so we can get bigger desks in our office. Of course the cats were curious, so when a couple of them jumped into the bookcase, we grabbed the other two and stuck them in their own cubes. It’s somewhat rare to get all four cats in one picture. Well, a good picture, anyway.
