big cat roarsday: facts about jaguars
Kids say the darnedest things, sometimes, and over at comedy website SomethingAwful, forum users decided to ask kids about certain topics, and then draw what the kids told them. (Content warning: while the link I proivde here is Safe For Work, other areas of the comedy site contain crass and explicit humor, use caution if you browse outside of the Ask Kids Questions article!)
User Part Of Everything started them off. One of the creatures she asked her friend’s 3-year-old twins for some facts about were Jaguars, and she drew some doodles to match what the kids said, verbatim. I got a big kick out of the drawings, and I know you all will, too!
That is ALL we need to know about Jaguars, according to 3-year-olds, haha!

I just love Fanboys comics! This one’s an oldie, but a goodie. It’s so sad, but so funny!
hummingbirds are the biggest tease
This Cat Versus Human comic was too funny to pass up a repost. I LOVE the fluffy riled up kitty. It cracks me up. Especially it climbing up the screen and sliding down. Ha ha!
Also, do your cats make noises at birds and other outdoor critters? Mine do, and it never fails to amuse me. I call it ‘chirping’ – do you have a word for it?
cats are extra affectionate in the bathroom
I just had to post this. I am so glad Cat Versus Human did a comic about it, because it’s the weirdest thing. What is it with cats and the bathroom?
Whenever I’m in the bathroom, it’s a sure bet that at least one of my cats is in there with me. In fact, it’s pretty common to have at least two or three cats in there with me at a time.
Juniper is notorious for dashing in there after me, and if she doesn’t make it, she scratches at the door until I let her in.
Kudzu does the same, except he meows pitifully if I don’t let him in. He is particularly fond of the shower, and likes to stick his head in there and drink water off of me. It’s adorable, if a bit annoying, because he will sit there and cry if I don’t give him any. I rarely let him in while showering, though, because I’m afraid I’ll accidentally fling some soap into his face! When I’m just using the toilet, he likes to jump into my lap and curl up.
Palpatine and Persy also like to share the bathroom with us. Palpy will whine and scratch at the door if my boyfriend doesn’t let him in with him.
Does anyone have any idea why cats like the bathroom so much? It doesn’t make any sense to me. I know many cats like drinking from the faucet, and curling up in the sink, but why do they follow us in any time we need to go? Do they really just enjoy being with us when we’re doing our business? Weirdos…
