Hope your holiday season has been wonderful, whatever you celebrate! Wishing you a Meowy Christmas from MCL <3
For all of you who celebrate, Happy Hanukkah! Hellcat and I both celebrate Christmas, so we tend to do a lot of Christmas posts around this time of year, but I know we have some Jewish readers and I hate to leave you out! Here are some great Hanukkah cat items I’ve found on Etsy.
We’ve all seen many of the youtube greats featuring cats, but what about some of their lesser-known but still hilarious counterparts? I’ve scoured youtube and found some videos I thought were absolutely hilarious and needed a nod. You may have seen one or two of these before but I can say that I hadn’t! Man, I needed a laugh, and these vids deliver!
This crazy makes taking the stairs fun and easy:
The adorable kittens watch figure-skating MST3K style, and can’t get enough of the skater’s performance!
This siamese underestimates exactly how far he needs to jump (don’t worry!! He was only a few feet from the ground!):
“Cat. In a bag.” My cat Pickles the Drummer does this EVERY time we bring home groceries. She gets into the first empty Wal-Mart bag she sees and waits for someone to pick her up in it. It cracks me up how expectant the cat is to be carried around!
Marbles just loves the snow!
This kitten gets a piece of tissue paper loosely tied to his tail–all he knows is he needs to catch it! This made me giggle, especially when his siblings get in on the mix:
It’s our 1st birthday! A year ago today, we put up our very first posts—wow! It’s crazy how time flies!
Although the blog has not really gone in the direction I had planned, I’d say it’s been a pretty successful first year. We get a decent amount of traffic, and have over 1200 Facebook fans—1200 awesome fans, might I add! If it weren’t for our amazing readers, this blog probably wouldn’t still be here today.
I do, however, want to apologize for the lack of quality posts lately. And by lately, I mean… the past several months. I had hoped to focus this blog on pop culture, news, art, etc., but it has become more of a “picture a day” blog and while some of you might be okay with that (because really, who doesn’t like looking at pictures of cats?), I’m honestly a bit disappointed. But between working full-time, selling on Etsy, doing web development on the side, opening up an online store, and just handling everyday chores, I really don’t have a lot of time to put into researching material and writing quality posts. And Hellcat is in a similar boat, with work and school.
I’m hoping that in our next year, we can get back on track. We may even bring in another writer or two so we can really get this blog poppin’ (if you’re interested, let us know!). I definitely don’t want to be a downer with this post, but I felt the need to get this off my chest. You guys are all great, and I just want to do a better job of bringing you higher quality, entertaining/informative posts.
