There are many ways to memorialize your late pets. Some ways are more odd than others. But having their skeletons decorated with fake flowers? Okay, that’s the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen. But that’s just what Amsterdam-based sculptor Cedric Laquieze does—he takes the skeletons of dogs and cats and “pretties” them up with flowers.
What are your thoughts on these? Arguably, I suppose they’re a bit nicer to look at than your everyday taxidermied animal. But they’re still creepy as hell. And what you would do with one of these? Use it as a centerpiece?

UPDATE: According to the artist himself, these are NOT real skeletons. They are actually made from PVC. Phew!

hi…..Cedric Laquieze here, just wanted to drop a line to say that the skeletons are pvc and have nothing to do with former pets……oh, and thanks for the article.
Hi Cedric, that is good news! Definitely wasn’t trying to spread misinformation, but there are some other articles out there saying they’re real, so I assumed and made an ass out of myself, haha. I’ll be sure to update this article and reassure our fans that your sculptures are, indeed, not real skeletons.
